Edit: September '10
When I submitted the original a while ago it was an almost instant hit. But, as time went on, and as I became better at drawing it looked rather bland in comparison to newer works. Hence the update. Still, there are flaws (I'm not too good at backgrounds) but at least I can say I tried and put more time in than usual. And now at least the frog looks like Homer ;p
A first at trying this style of colouring so hopefully I can do something similar in the future.

Fantastic work! I love the combination of the two works and the out come is brilliant. I love how the focus is entirely on the front of the picture and the background is blurred.

The background is spectacular, you can really see the work and deication which has gone into this piece of art. The only criticism I do have is that on some edges, such as the fingers and the crown seem to be a little blurred, but that may just be me. The shading is extremely simple, yet very effective and perfectly done and it's full of originality.

Fantastic work, keep it up.
