LaBarbara by TheFightingMongooses LaBarbara by TheFightingMongooses
I liked the original *kaspired pic so it was suggested to make a collab therefore I did the digitalizing.

I know I coloured the background blandly, but I suppose that could be interpreted as a way to make colourful characters stand out.
Note: I do like doing these, they're a challenge. Considering it gives me reason to try new things, and she is also a character I've never drawn before. Always a first time for everything.

Really cool...I really wish that I could have worked LaBarbara and her son into my fanfics, but I never got around to it.

Oh lookit that! Way cool.

The shading is great, on the legs, arms, well oh what am I saying? It's all good! I like it.

Thanks for coloring this. Now I gotta go and finish mine...

It's hard to describe, but it was sort of like a mix of how shadows and tints would be in real life, and the style of the show.
The lipstick was the last to be added. It took some time to decide whether to use it.

There are lots of nice touches on this. The cast shadow is great. The lines where the skin tones lines meet are irregular but still follow the shape. (That's an awkward description, hope it makes sense)

Did anybody notice what you used for the hair wrap?

I think, you mean, the direction of the strokes? I used the smudge tool throughout for that effect. It's maybe that they don't blend so well?
And so far, nobody's mentioned it.

Yeah, I like the texture the smudge tool gives.
